About NWO Biophysics
NWO Biophysics is the annual Dutch conference on physics of living systems. The conference offers an exciting programme covering a broad range of scientific topics varying from microscopy and cell biology to biomedical engineering. NWO Biophysics is organised and sponsored by the NWO domain Science (ENW), in collaboration with the Dutch Society for Microscopy, the Society for Biophysics and Biomedical Technology, and the Dutch Society of Cell Biology.
The organisation presents to you an exciting programme consisting of plenary sessions with presentations by keynote speakers Petra Schwille and Samouil Farhi, lectures by a plethora of (inter)national speakers, oral parallel presentations, and poster sessions. More details about the conference can be found at the end of this email and on our website
Â
New! Submit your abstract for a demo
This year you can submit an abstract to demo your research. Did you develop a tool or instrument that you would like to showcase on the exhibition floor or do you have an interesting idea to visualize your research in a more interactive way? Â If so, submit an abstract to demonstrate your research at NWO Biophysics. For the selected abstracts, we offer a space on the exhibition floor for the full conference.
Â
Interactive sessions
We organise interactive sessions for early career scientists on Monday 6 October. PhD candidates and postdocs can indicate their preference for one of these sessions during registration. The topics vary from academic advice, covered by our plenary speakers, to soft skills. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to connect with experts, exchange ideas and learn new skills. There is limited availability to attend some of the interactive sessions.
Â
The Advisory Committee Physics of Life will also organise a meeting on Monday 6 October for senior research staff and we hope to see many of you there. We would like to get to know the (new) people that make up our community. We aim to connect with you, exchange ideas and thereby strengthen the position of our community.
Â
Registration fee
The registration fee for NWO Biophysics 2025 ranges from €60 to €150 per day, depending on your position, excluding hotel fees.
Â
Register for the conference now and do not forget to submit your abstract for an oral or poster presentation or a demo!
